The Continuous Press Line used for the production of Particle Board and MDF (medium density fiberboard) is the core equipment in modern artificial board production. Its technological advancement and degree of automation directly affect the product quality and production efficiency
★ The basic composition of continuous flat pressure lines
The continuous flat pressure line is mainly composed of the following key parts:
Laying system: The dried wood shavings or fibers are evenly spread into slabs, which are divided into mechanical laying and air flow laying forms to ensure uniform density of the slabs.
Pre-press: It conducts an initial compression of the laid slab to reduce its thickness and enhance its initial strength, facilitating its entry into the main press.

Steel belt system: Transporting slabs under high temperature and high pressure, the surface needs to be wear-resistant and heat-resistant.
Hydraulic system: It provides uniform pressure (typically 200-500 bar) and realizes the pressure curves at different pressing stages through segmented control.
Heating system: Hot oil or steam is used to heat the pressure plate (temperature 180-250℃), enabling the adhesive (such as urea-formaldehyde resin) to cure rapidly.
Cooling section: The pressed plates are cooled and shaped to prevent deformation.
Sawing system: It cuts continuous plates horizontally and longitudinally to the required size (such as 2440×1220mm).
Automated control system: Full-process monitoring is achieved through PLC or DCS, and parameters such as temperature, pressure, and speed are regulated.
★ Technical Features and advantages
Continuous production: Compared with intermittent hot presses (such as multi-layer presses), flat pressing lines can achieve uninterrupted production with high efficiency (speed can reach 1000-2000 mm/s).
Precise density control: By adjusting the pressure zones, boards of different densities can be produced (particleboard 450-750 kg/m³, MDF 600-800 kg/m³).
Excellent surface quality: The steel strip has high flatness, and the surface of the plate is smooth, requiring no additional sanding or only light sanding.
Energy conservation and environmental protection: The heat energy recovery system reduces energy consumption, and some production lines use environmentally friendly adhesives (such as MDI adhesives) to reduce formaldehyde release
