- Tree species requirements:
Fast-growing softwood (accounting for about 80%-90%) : pine, poplar, spruce, fir, etc. (fast growth, long fibers, easy to process).
Some hardwoods (10%-20%) : birch, eucalyptus, etc. (to enhance the strength and hardness of the board).
Mixed use: The combination of soft and hard wood can balance cost and performance.
- Wood morphology:
Logs, branches and twigs, and wood processing residues (such as sawn edge materials, wood cores, etc.) need to be peeled and the rotten parts removed
The logs are peeled by a peeler to remove the bark (the bark contains impurities that affect gluing).
The chips are cut into wood shavings with a length of 50-100mm, a width of 5-30mm and a thickness of 0.3-0.7mm by a slicer

Rotary Dryer

The moisture of wood strands and wood chips are not suitable for spray glue, it will not good for the panel quality. Therefore, the drum dryer is necessary and important.
Dry the wood shavings to a moisture content of 2%-4% (if it is too high, it will cause bubbling during hot pressing).
Sort into surface fine wood shavings (to improve surface flatness) and core layer coarse wood shavings (to enhance structural strength)

Glue apply system
Resin system
The wood shavings enter the rotating drum, and the glue liquid is atomized and sprayed through the nozzle. The rotation of the drum causes the wood shavings to roll, achieving uniform glue application. It is suitable for high-viscosity adhesives such as MDI glue and phenolic resin (PF glue)

- Layered paving
Surface laying: Fine wood shavings are arranged in a directional manner along the length direction (longitudinal) of the board by air flow laying machines or mechanical laying machines.
Core layer laying: Coarse wood shavings are laid horizontally or randomly to balance the stress in all directions of the board.
- Directional control
The direction of the wood shavings is adjusted by mechanical rollers or magnetic fields (in some processes) to form a cross structure (crisscrossing).
-Pre-pressing
The loose slabs after laying are initially compressed by a cold press (to reduce thickness and facilitate transportation).

Multi-opening Hot press
Continuous Press
The slab is sent into a multi-layer hot press and pressed for 3 to 8 minutes at 180 to 220℃ and a pressure of 3 to 5MPa (adjusted according to thickness).
The glue cures, and the wood shavings are closely combined to form high-density boards
As your production capacity, there has two choice, one is Multi-opening hot press for smaller capacity, another one is Continuous press for big production capacity.

- Cooling and health preservation
The hot-pressed plates are cooled to room temperature through a cooling frame and left to stand for 24 to 48 hours to release internal stress.
- Sanding and thickening
Use a broadband sander to grind the board surface to ensure uniform thickness (for example, the nominal thickness is 18mm and the actual control is ±0.2mm).
- Edge trimming and slitting
Saw off the burrs, cut them into standard sizes (such as 1250×2500mm), and ensure the edges are smooth without chipping

- Performance test
Static bending strength (EN 310 standard), moisture resistance (water absorption expansion rate within 24 hours ≤15%), formaldehyde emission (EN 717-1 E1 grade).
- Packaging and warehousing:
When stacking, add wooden strips to prevent moisture, wrap with stretch film, and attach labels (including specifications, batches, and environmental protection grades).
