What is a continuous flat press?
The continuous flat press is the core equipment of the modern engineered wood products industry. It replaces the traditional intermittent hot press that presses layer by layer with a "double steel belt system" that can operate continuously, thus realizing the assembly line production of boards.
Working principle
Core action
Two heavy-duty steel belts, rotating in a circular pattern, tightly clamp the continuously fed slabs, conveying them forward while simultaneously heating and pressurizing them.
Heat and pressure transfer
The hot platen inside the steel belts provides heat (transferred to the slabs via the belts), and the hydraulic system provides pressure. Through intermediate layers such as rollers or hydraulic chambers, the pressure and heat are evenly applied to the entire slab surface.
