Product Description
The continuous hot press for ultra-thin fiberboard is a state-of-the-art equipment specifically designed for the efficient and continuous production of ultra-thin fiber panels (such as Medium Density Fiberboard MDF, High Density Fiberboard HDF, or special thin boards) within the thickness range of 1.5 mm to 5 mm. It represents a significant advancement in panel pressing technology towards high precision and automation, particularly suited for producing thin boards with stringent requirements for thickness uniformity, surface quality, and physical properties.
|
Core Working Principle
The equipment employs a continuous flat-pressing process. The prepared fiber mat (typically dried fibers) is uniformly fed into the hot press via a feeding system. Inside the press, while continuously moving forward, the fiber mat is subjected to heat and pressure from a system of steel belts (or rollers). Through precisely controlled temperature and pressure profiles along with the conveying speed, the resin within the fibers rapidly cures under the combined action of heat and pressure. Ultimately, a continuous, dense, and stable ultra-thin board is formed at the end of the production line, which is then cut to length by a saw to become the final product.

Key Technical Features and Advantages
1. Precise Temperature Control System:
Critical Importance: For ultra-thin fiberboard, the material's residence time inside the press is extremely short, and its thinness allows for rapid heat transfer. Therefore, control over the temperature of the heating plates or rollers must be exceptionally accurate and responsive. This ensures uniform and complete resin curing within a very short time, avoiding local over-curing or under-curing, thereby guaranteeing key board properties such as internal bond strength, surface hardness, and low formaldehyde emission.
System Composition: Typically features a multi-zone independent temperature control design. The press length is divided into several heating zones (e.g., preheating, curing, post-heating zones), each equipped with high-precision thermocouples, intelligent temperature control modules, and efficient heating medium circulation systems (commonly thermal oil or steam).
Technical Implementation: Utilizing advanced PLC or DCS control systems, the set temperatures for each zone are monitored in real-time and dynamically adjusted. Temperature deviation control can reach ±1°C or even higher precision. Some advanced models are also equipped with infrared or contact surface pyrometers for real-time monitoring and feedback control of the board surface temperature.
2. Special Design for Ultra-Thin Board (1.5-5mm):
High Pressure and Uniform Pressure Capability: Requires very high specific pressure (up to 5 MPa or more) to compress the thin fiber mat to the desired density. Multiple hydraulic cylinders (or hydraulic systems) coupled with precision cushioning or servo-control systems ensure extremely uniform pressure distribution across the entire board width and length, which is key to achieving minimal thickness tolerance (e.g., within ±0.15mm).
Steel Belt and Drive System: Utilizes special steel belts with high strength, flatness, and thermal conductivity. The drive system operates smoothly with precise speed control, ensuring the fiber mat moves through the press without slipping or wrinkling.
Infeed and Forming Section: Equipped with precise pre-press and forming mechanisms to initially compact the fluffy fiber mat and form a stable "mat" before entering the main press, preventing it from being blown apart or becoming uneven in thickness under high pressure.
Cooling and Stress Relief: The end of the production line usually integrates a precisely controlled cooling section. This allows the board to gradually cool down while maintained flat, reducing internal stresses and preventing warping – which is especially critical for ultra-thin boards.
3. Advantages of Continuous Production:
High Efficiency: Compared to batch-type multi-opening presses, continuous production eliminates non-productive time losses, resulting in high output.
Stable Quality: The production process parameters (temperature, pressure, speed) remain consistently stable, leading to highly uniform product quality.
Flexibility: By adjusting line speed, pressure, and temperature profiles, quick changeovers for producing boards of different thicknesses and specifications within a certain range are possible.
High Automation Level: The entire line integrates advanced automation control systems, enabling fully automated monitoring and operation from feeding and hot pressing to sawing and stacking.
