The production process of particleboard is a relatively complex process involving multiple steps. The following is the basic process of particleboard production:
1. Raw material preparation: - Collect raw materials: The raw materials of particleboard can be wood processing residues, small-diameter wood, wood chips, etc. - Drying: The collected raw materials are dried to reduce the moisture content and improve the quality of particleboard.
2. Particle preparation: - The dried raw materials are cut into particles of a certain specification by a chipper. - Screening: The particles are screened according to size and shape to meet production requirements.
3. Gluing: - The screened particles are mixed with adhesives, which can be urea-formaldehyde resins, phenolic resins or other types of adhesives. - The particles after gluing need to be evenly distributed to ensure the strength and stability of the particleboard.
4. Forming: - Place the glued wood chips in the forming machine and spread them into a uniform layer of chips by mechanical or air flow. - Compact the chip layer by pre-pressing to form the initial shape of the chipboard.
5. Hot pressing: - Send the pre-pressed chipboard blank into the hot press to cure the adhesive under high temperature and high pressure to make the chip layer tightly bonded. - During the hot pressing process, the chipboard will go through the stages of heating, holding pressure and cooling.
6. Cooling and cutting: - After hot pressing, the chipboard needs to be cooled to room temperature. - Cut the chipboard according to the required size and specifications.
7. Sanding: - Sand the surface of the chipboard to improve the surface flatness and smoothness.
8. Inspection and grading: - Quality inspection of finished particleboards, including indicators such as size, surface quality, moisture content, etc. - According to the inspection results, particleboards are classified into different grades.
9. Packaging and storage: - Qualified particleboards are packaged to protect the boards from damage during transportation and storage. - The packaged particleboards are stored in a dry and ventilated warehouse.
10. Transportation and sales: - The stored particleboards are transported to the market or customers for sale. The entire particleboard production process needs to be precisely controlled to ensure product quality and environmental protection requirements. Modern production lines usually use automation and computer control technology to improve production efficiency and product quality.
