Production process
The production of ultra-thin MDF is a precise and continuous process, whose core lies in the extreme control of fiber treatment, forming, and hot pressing to ensure product performance at millimeter-level thicknesses. The main process is as follows:
1. Raw Material Preparation and Fiber Treatment: Wood chips are refined into fine fibers using a defibrator (thermomechanical pulping). These fibers are then precisely blended with eco-friendly resins (e.g., E0-grade adhesives) and additives and dried in a pipeline dryer.
2. High-Precision Mat Forming: The dried fibers are distributed by the precise forming head of a high-precision thin MDF production line to form a uniform, fluffy mat on a moving steel belt. This stage demands exceptionally high uniformity in fiber distribution and is the foundation for determining the final product's thickness consistency and surface quality.
3. Pre-pressing and Mat Conveying: The fluffy mat is initially compacted by a belt pre-press to form a "green mat" with sufficient strength for stable entry into the continuous press.
