In particleboard production, wet wood flakes typically have a high moisture content (50%-65%) and contain trace amounts of weakly acidic substances (such as tannins and organic acids). After prolonged use, traditional carbon steel drum dryers are prone to rust and corrosion on the inner wall, causing rust particles to mix into the wood flakes. This affects the physical properties and appearance of the final boards, and may even increase the risk of formaldehyde emissions exceeding standards. To address this industry challenge, Stainless Steel Lined Particleboard Dryer, where all surfaces in contact with the material are made of stainless steel, ensuring material purity and equipment durability from the source.
Stainless Steel Liner: The inner wall of the drum and all lifting flights are made of SUS304 or SUS316L stainless steel plates, rolled and welded. The smooth surface resists sticking, is easy to clean, and is resistant to acid/alkali corrosion.
Outer Shell: Made of high-quality carbon steel or insulated steel plate, with an intermediate layer of high-efficiency rock wool insulation to reduce heat loss.
Sealing Device: High-temperature resistant stainless steel sealing strips + graphite packing at the feed and discharge ends prevent cold air infiltration and dust leakage.
Drive System: Hardened gear reducer + variable frequency drive motor, driving riding rings and trunnions for smooth operation.
Dust Collection System: Cyclone separator + pulse-jet bag filter (stainless steel housing optional).
Working Principle
Wet wood flakes are fed into the rotating stainless steel lined drum via a conveyor. As the drum rotates, the stainless steel lifting flights repeatedly lift and shower the material, forming a uniform material curtain. High-temperature clean air (150°C–350°C) generated by the hot air furnace fully contacts the material curtain, rapidly evaporating moisture. Due to the low friction coefficient and corrosion resistance of stainless steel, wood flakes do not easily stick to the drum wall, ensuring uniform drying. The dried flakes exit with the airflow into the dust collection system for separation and collection, with exhaust gases meeting emission standards.
