Ⅰ. PB Core Specifications  

Emission Class: E2 Grade (EN 312 compliant, formaldehyde ≤0.124mg/m³)  

Density: 650-700kg/m³ (high-density structure ensures strength)  

Standard Size: 1220×2440mm (customizable up to 2800×2070mm)  

Thickness Options: 8mm, 12mm, 15mm, 18mm, 25mm, 30mm, 40mm (±0.2mm tolerance)  

Moisture Content: 5%-11% (kiln-dried for climate adaptability)  





Ⅱ. Detailed Production Process  


1. Raw Material Pretreatment  

   Wood Chipping: Drum chipper (Model BX218) processes pine/poplar into 20-50mm flakes  

   Screening: Triple-deck vibratory screen (8mm/5mm/3mm mesh) with magnetic separator  

   Fiber Preparation: Steam preheating (165℃, 0.8MPa) followed by defibration in twin-disc refiner  


2. Resin Application & Drying  

   Adhesive Formulation: UF resin (53% solids) + 1.2% wax emulsion  

   Blending: Centrifugal atomizing nozzle applies 8-10% resin (based on dry fiber weight)  

   Pneumatic Drying: Three-pass pipe dryer (inlet 180℃, outlet 70℃), moisture reduced to 1.5%  


3. Mat Formation  

   Graded Layering: Mechanical star-type former creates 3-layer structure (40% fine surface / 60% coarse core)  

   Pre-pressing: Continuous belt pre-compactor (line pressure 1200N/mm) to 130% target thickness  


4. Hot Pressing  

   High-pressure Curing: 8-opening press (3000-ton force, 205℃ platen) with 3-stage control:  

     Stage 1: 2.8MPa × 90 sec  

     Stage 2: 1.5MPa × 60 sec  

     Stage 3: 0.8MPa pressure release × 30 sec  

   Cycle Time: 3 min per 18mm panel  


5. Finishing  

   Conditioning: Forced-air cooling to 45℃ + 48h stacking equilibration  

   Calibrating Sanding: 4-head sander (60/100/150/240 grit) removes 0.3-0.5mm/side  

   Trimming: CNC cross-cut saw (±0.5mm accuracy) to 1220×2440mm

Ⅳ. Emission Class Explained  


1. Classification (EN 312)  

   E0: Formaldehyde ≤0.050mg/m³  

   E1: Formaldehyde ≤0.124mg/m³  

   E2: Formaldehyde ≤0.250mg/m³  


2. E2 Grade Definition  

   Test Method: 1m³ climate chamber (23℃, 45% RH)  

   Actual Value: ≤0.124mg/m³ (meets E1)  

   Application: Non-hermetic furniture (requires surface sealing)  


3. Emission Control  

   Resin Modification: Melamine-urea copolymer formaldehyde scavenger  

   Post-curing: 60℃ conditioning for 72 hours  


Ⅴ. Manufacturing Technology  


Raw Materials: Pure pine/poplar chips with ≥85% wood content, bark-free  

Pressing Process: Three-layer gradient structure (fine surface + coarse core), continuous press line (≥3000-ton pressure, 200°C+), internal bond strength ≥0.45N/mm²  

- Surface Finish: Double-sided sanding to Ra≤3.2μm smoothness, flatness tolerance <0.15mm/m²

Mechanical Strength: MOR≥14MPa, MOE≥1800MPa, screw holding force≥1100N  

Moisture Resistance: 24h thickness swelling <10% (V313 cycle tested)
