I. Production Process  


1. Raw Material Processing  

   Fir logs are debarked and chipped into 30-50mm flakes, with moisture content reduced below 15%.  

   Flakes are screened and washed to remove impurities.  

2. Particle Preparation  

   Flakes are processed into particles (20-40mm long, 0.2-0.5mm thick) via ring flakers.  

   Rotary dryers reduce moisture to 3%-5%.  

3. Blending & Gluing  

   E1/E0 urea-formaldehyde resin (8%-12% dosage) is uniformly coated on particles using high-speed blenders (800-1200 rpm).  

   Waterproofing agent (1%-1.5% wax emulsion) and catalyst (0.5%-1% ammonium chloride) are added.  

4. Forming & Pre-pressing  

   Mechanical formers create a graduated structure (fine surface/coarse core particles).  

  Continuous pre-presses apply 1.5-2.5 MPa for initial shaping.  

5. Hot Pressing  

   Multi-opening presses (8-12 layers) cure the board at 180-210℃ and 25-30 MPa for 4-6 minutes.  

   Thickness is precisely controlled at 18±0.2mm.  

6. Finishing  

   Trimming to standard sizes (e.g., 1220×2440mm).  

   Stack cooling for 24 hours to equilibrate moisture (6%-8%).  

   Double-side sanding (0.2-0.3mm removal) ensures surface flatness (≤0.1mm).

1.Japan

Sugi (Cryptomeria japonica): 45% of Japan's planted forests, mainly in Kyushu/Shikoku, annual yield ~10 million m³.

Traits: Fast growth (40-50yr rotation), low density, resin content <2.5%.

2.North America

Douglas Fir (Pseudotsuga menziesii): Grown in BC (Canada) and Pacific NW (USA), similar industrial use.

Traits: Fiber length 3-4mm, superior strength but higher resin (4%-6%).

3.Southeast Asia

Vietnam/Laos: Wild fir (Cunninghamia spp.) in northern mountains (e.g., Hoang Lien Son), limited output.

Myanmar: Small-scale plantations in Kachin State, minimal commercial supply.

4.South America (Introduced species)

Chile: Radiata pine replaces fir with 20-25yr growth cycle, requires softening pre-treatment.

V. Board Structure Characteristics  


Layered Composition:  

  Surface: 0.2-0.3mm fine particles for smooth finishing.  

  Transition: 0.5-1mm medium particles enhancing layer bonding.  

  Core: 1-2mm coarse particles providing flexural rigidity.  

Performance:  

  Natural fir toughness improves impact resistance by 12%-18%.  

  Low resin content reduces "glue spots", achieving post-sanding Ra≤3.2μm.

Office furniture: Laminate-topped desks, ±0.3mm thickness tolerance ensures seam flatness.

2.Construction

Drywall partitions: Fills steel stud frames, 28-32dB sound insulation (5-8dB better than 15mm board).

Subflooring: Over concrete base, MOR≥16MPa prevents deflection.

3.Industrial Packaging

Heavy-duty pallets: Static load ≥1,500kg, dynamic load ≥500kg (ISO 8611 compliant).

Machine guards: 20% higher impact resistance than MDF, 60% cost savings vs plywood.
