1220x2440mm Warp-Resistant MDF Line 800m³/day

This production line specializes in large-scale manufacturing of warp-resistant MDF boards, with a daily output of 800m³. Featuring continuous press technology and steam-injection toughening process, it ensures standard panels (1220×2440mm) maintain thickness tolerance ≤0.1mm and 24h water absorption swell <8%. Integrated with intelligent drying, precision resin application, and pre-press reinforcement systems, it serves high-end furniture substrates and architectural partitions, enabling low-carbon production of dimensionally stable panels.

Ⅱ.Warp-Resistance Features  


Formula optimization:

Add nano-silicon dioxide to enhance the fiber bonding force, with static bending strength ≥ 35 MPa (over 28% of the national standard);

Use environmentally friendly PMDI resin instead of urea-formaldehyde glue, with formaldehyde emission ≤ 0.015 mg/m³ (EN 717-1);


Process control:

Spray-vapor pre-treatment: Saturated steam penetrates the core layer of the billet, increasing the temperature by 20°C and shortening the hot pressing time by 30%

Gradient drying technology: Three-channel drum dryer (200°C) stabilizes the fiber moisture content at 2-4%


Ⅲ. Production Process  


1. Raw Material Pre-Treatment  

   Debarked logs chipped into 20-30mm flakes, cleaned via hydrocyclone to remove sand/metals  

   Flakes soaked in 85℃ hot water for 45 minutes to soften lignin  


2. Fiber Preparation  

   Refiner defibrates fibers at 175℃/0.8MPa (fiber length 0.8-1.2mm, aspect ratio ≥60:1)  

   0.5% wax emulsion added for water resistance  


3. Warp-Resistant Formulation  

   Fibers blended with 10-12% PMDI resin in twin-shaft mixer  

   Key Technology: 3% nano-SiO₂ (30nm) added to enhance fiber bonding  


4. Steam Injection Toughening  

   Formed mat enters steam chamber: saturated steam (0.3MPa) penetrates core for 3 seconds  

   Core temperature jumps from 85℃ to 105℃, reducing internal stress during pressing  


5. Continuous Pressing  

     Temperature gradient control (surface 210℃ → core 195℃)  

     Zoned pressure (pre-press 60bar → main press 120bar → decompression 40bar)  

     Line speed 600mm/s, 18mm board curing in 38 seconds  


6. Gradual Cooling  

   Three-zone cooling (80℃→60℃→40℃) at ≤5℃/min rate  

   Board turner rotates panels 180° to release residual stress  


7. Precision Finishing  

   Double-end trimmer cuts to size (±0.3mm tolerance)  

   6-head sander with 80-240 grit belts ensures ≤±0.1mm thickness  

   Machine vision inspects surface defects (0.1mm² resolution)  


8. Packaging & Storage  

   PE moisture barrier film inserted between stacks  

   Conditioning warehouse (25±3℃, RH 45%) equilibrates moisture to 5-7%

High-end furniture: Membrane-pressed door panel substrate (embedded metal straightening device, creep resistance increased by 300%)

Building decoration: Fireproof partition board (EN 300 OSB/3 standard, flame-retardant option available)

Custom export: Compliant with CARB P2 and EPA TSCA standards, suitable for European and American container transportation (40HQ, 504m³ capacity)

Secondary processing: Compatible with UV powder coating (low-temperature curing at 100°C, coating thickness 60-80μm)


Ⅴ. Core Equipment  


1. Hydraulic Washer  

   Working Principle: Wood flakes rotate in high-speed water flow; metal detectors trigger magnets to remove ferrous debris, while sand sinks to conical bottom  

   Anti-Warp Function: ≥99% impurity removal, preventing localized stress during pressing  



2. Steam Softening Vessel  

   Working Principle: 0.8MPa saturated steam penetrates wood layers, reducing lignin’s glass transition temp from 120℃ to 85℃  

   Anti-Warp Function: 40% less fiber damage during refining, enhancing bonding uniformity  


 

3. Thermo-Mechanical Refiner  

   Working Principle: 0.1-0.2mm grinding disc gap with 175℃ steam dissolves fiber middle lamella, yielding ≥90% intact fibers  

  Anti-Warp Function: 65% long fibers (>1mm) enhance internal bond strength by 35%

4. Nano-Modified Blending System  

   Working Principle: Twin-shaft mixer (200rpm) atomizes nano-SiO₂ into fibers while PMDI resin is electrostatically sprayed  

   Anti-Warp Function: Nano-fillers reduce hygroscopic expansion by 22% under humidity

5. Steam Pre-Conditioner  

   Working Principle: Reciprocating nozzle arrays inject 105℃ steam onto both surfaces, penetrating 80% of mat thickness  

   Anti-Warp Function: Core pre-heating cuts pressing time 30%, eliminating interlayer shear stress  



6. Continuous Press  

Working Principle: 40-zone pressure control (60-120bar) with temperature gradient from 210℃ (inlet) to 190℃ (outlet)  

Anti-Warp Function: Pressure profile adapts to mat rheology, achieving 98% resin curing synchronicity

7. Step Cooling Conveyor  

   Working Principle: 3-stage air chambers (80℃/60℃/40℃) with variable-speed rollers limit cooling rate to ≤5℃/min  

   Anti-Warp Function: Slow residual stress release reduces 24h springback to <0.05mm  



8. Hydraulic Turner  

   Working Principle: C-frame arms vacuum-grip panels, rotating 180° at <0.3G acceleration  

   Anti-Warp Function: Balances bilateral stress with ≤2% deviation after flipping

9. Precision Sander  

   Working Principle: 6 sanding heads (80→240 grit) with real-time laser thickness feedback  

   Anti-Warp Function: ±0.1mm tolerance prevents stress accumulation during laminating

10. Machine Vision Sorter  

    Working Principle: Line-scan CCD cameras (5μm resolution) inspect surfaces, AI compares with 2,000+ defect templates  

    Anti-Warp Function: Rejects potential warping sources (e.g. localized density anomalies)  



11. Conditioning Warehouse  

    Working Principle: Staggered stacks in 25±3℃/RH 45% environment with forced convection for 72 hours  

    Anti-Warp Function: Equilibrates moisture to 5-7%, eliminating humidity sensitivity
