★ Mechanical Mat Forming Machine
√ Working Principle
The raw materials are suspended and conveyed to the paving belt by air flow (positive pressure or negative pressure), and the uniformity of raw material drop is controlled by the distribution of air flow
Particleboard: Different particle sizes of particleboard are separated by air flow, achieving a gradient laying of fine materials on the surface layer and coarse materials on the core layer.
MDF: Negative pressure adsorbs fibers to form a highly uniform and non-directional fiber layer
√ Typic Structure
○ Roller type: Multiple sets of high-speed rotating rollers are arranged horizontally. After the wood shavings are scattered, they fall freely.
○ Sweeping arm type: The reciprocating sweeping arm evenly spreads the fibers (commonly seen in early MDF production lines).
○ Directional roller (OSB dedicated) : A roller with grooves enables the directional arrangement of long wood shavings.
√ Advantages
○ It has a simple structure and low maintenance cost.
○ Low energy consumption (no need for a complex air flow system).
○ Suitable for coarse wood shavings (such as the core layer material of OSB)
〤Disadvantages
○ Poor uniformity: Local accumulation or voids are prone to occur, affecting the consistency of the board density.

★ Air flow Forming machine
√ Working Principle

○ High energy consumption: Large fans and dust removal systems need to be equipped, resulting in significant power consumption.
