The servo hydraulic continuous flat press machine
It has broken through the production bottleneck of 0~80mm full thickness range through millisecond pressure regulation, sub-millimeter thickness control and intelligent temperature-pressure coupling, becoming the preferred equipment for high-end wood-based panel production. Its technical essence is to transform "rigid mechanical pressing" into "flexible digital molding", and finally achieve the unity of stepless thickness switching and zero-compromise quality.
Core components of the equipment
1. Servo hydraulic system- High response servo valve: control accuracy of ±0.1MPa, response time <10ms (conventional hydraulic valve is 50~100ms).
- Pressure sensor array: hundreds of points are distributed along the length/width of the press to monitor the pressure distribution of the slab in real time.
- Closed-loop control module: based on the PLC algorithm, dynamically adjust the pressure of each cylinder to compensate for the fluctuation of the slab density.
2. Steel belt and hot press plate system
- Segmented heating hot press plate: 8~12 temperature control zones (200~240℃), independent temperature adjustment to meet the curing requirements of different thicknesses.
- High-strength steel belt: tensile strength >1200MPa, surface hardness HRC 55~60, ensuring the transmission stability of 80mm thick plates.

3. Thickness control system
- Laser thickness gauge: online scanning thickness accuracy ±0.03mm (traditional mechanical ±0.1mm).
- Hydraulic synchronous cylinder group: 30~50 cylinders on each side, independently controlling the opening and closing degree of the pressure plate (resolution 0.01mm).

1. Dynamic pressure compensation technology
- When the low density area of slab is detected, the local pressure is instantly increased by 5~8MPa (traditional presses can only adjust the pressure globally).
- Case: When producing 18mm OSB, the lateral density difference is reduced from ±8% to ±3%.

- 25%~30% energy saving compared to proportional valve hydraulic system:
- Energy is only supplied to the cylinder that needs to be pressurized (traditional system maintains pressure throughout the process)

- Number of Cylinders ≥40/side (80mm plate requires support density)

2. Economic Considerations
- When the production thickness is <25mm, a simplified version (30 cylinders/side) can be selected
- 80mm ultra-thick plate production line requires enhanced frame design (bending stiffness >5×10⁶ Nm/rad)
Continuous Flat Press is a key equipment in woodworking machinery used in the production of man-made boards (such as particleboard, fiberboard, oriented strand board, etc.). It uses a continuous hot pressing process to press the slabs mixed with wood fibers or scraps and adhesives into high-strength, high-density boards.
Working Principle
The core of the continuous flat hot press is to continuously press the slab through high temperature and high pressure. Its working process is as follows:
1.Feeding: The slab after paving and forming is sent to the entrance of the hot press through a conveyor belt.
2.Preheating and pre-pressing: Before the slab enters the main pressing area, the adhesive is softened by a preheating device and the air is expelled by pre-pressing.
3.Main pressing: The slab enters the pressing area composed of multiple layers of hot pressing plates, and is continuously pressed under high temperature (usually 180-250℃) and high pressure (2-5 MPa) to solidify the adhesive and tightly combine the fibers.
4.Cooling and board discharge: The pressed board is cooled and shaped in the cooling section, and then cut into standard sizes.

Continuous production: Compared with intermittent presses (such as multi-layer hot presses), production efficiency is greatly improved.
Stable quality: pressure and temperature are evenly distributed, the density of the board is highly consistent, the internal stress is small, and it is not easy to deform.
