MINGHUNG
This high moisture resistance MDF production line combines continuous flat pressing technology with multi-layer press technology. The entire line features a high degree of automation and optimized energy consumption, capable of meeting the production demand of 400m³ of high moisture resistance MDF panels per day. Key equipment includes: drum chipper, defibrator (fiber refiner), triple-pass dryer, gluing system, air-lay forming machine, continuous pre-press, hot press, panel saw, and sanding machine .
Moisture Resistance Technology
The production line is equipped with a dedicated water repellent agent dosing system and modified adhesive blending system. During the fiber refining and gluing stages, MDI-modified urea-formaldehyde resin adhesive and water repellent agents are precisely added to ensure the finished panels have low thickness swelling and excellent moisture resistance . The key to moisture-resistant MDF lies in the optimization of the adhesive system and the uniform distribution of water repellents .
Defibrating & Drying System
Defibrator: Wood chips are softened by high-temperature steam and then defibrated to provide high-quality fiber raw material for subsequent gluing .
Triple-Pass Dryer: Dries wet fibers to a moisture content of 8%-12%, with drying temperature controlled at approximately 165°C to prevent resin pre-curing which would affect the mechanical properties of the board .
Forming & Hot Pressing System
Forming Machine: Uses air-lay forming technology to evenly distribute glued fibers into a mat. Forming width and thickness can be adjusted according to product specifications .
Hot Press: Uses a multi-layer hot press or continuous flat press to cure the adhesive under temperature and pressure, forming MDF panels with specified thickness and density . Hot pressing temperature is typically controlled between 140°C and 220°C .
Cutting & Sanding System
Finished panels are cut to size by panel saws and then surface-sanded by sanding machines to ensure thickness precision and surface smoothness, meeting export standards and high-end application requirements .
